UW- River Falls Glass Legacies

April 13- September 1, 2013

Stared in 1968 by Doug Johnson and taken over by Jon Engebretson, the UW-River Falls glass program is one of the oldest BFA glass prgrams in the country. The program has produced countless talented and successful alumni. This exhibit focuses on the legacy started by early glass students as well as the work of more recent alumni.

aadJoin us once a month on a Saturday from 10am—1pm for make and take art activities and a glass project. 

Children must be accompanied by an adult. Glass projects will be available for pick up at the museum the Thursday following the Art Activity Day. *Art Activities end at 1 pm. Last call for payment to participate in fused glass activities is at 12:45 pm.kidsinstudio

June 1: Fabulous Fish
Help us kick off the summer with fused glass fish sun-catchers ($15 each) and other water-inspired activities.

Sunday, July 21, 10:00 am–3:30 pm Bergstrom-Mahler Museum Arts Festival

Join us at the Children’s Art Activity Tent for a variety of art activities including a fused glass activity ($15 each), children’s entertainment, face-painting, a scavenger hunt through the museum and more.

 August 11: Summer fun

Celebrate the last few weeks of summer and create a bird in glass ($15 each). Use a variety of Bullseye glass materials to create your favorite flying friend, or invent a bird of your own design. Other feathered-friend activities will be also be available to make-and-take.
