Yes, I will continue the gift for others!
Generous People Founded the Museum for Your Enjoyment--The Museum Needs Generous People Like You to Continue the Gift for Others
We are aware you have many organizations asking for donations for important causes. You may be asking, 'Why should I donate to a museum?' We'd like to share with you a story about a recent museum visitor that sums up why museums are important and worthy of your support.
One afternoon a staff member began chatting with a visitor from Milwaukee. The staff person asked if she was enjoying her visit. The woman replied, “This place is just fantastic. I am learning so much. Everywhere I turn I see something more beautiful than the last. You know, I am not a museum person. I don’t have an artistic bone in my body. In fact, I clean toilets for a living, but this place is so amazing—it’s inspiring to see what human beings can do.”
This woman’s words say a lot about how museums enrich the lives of people of all ages, education levels and occupations. You don’t need an advanced degree to “understand art.” Bergstrom-Mahler Museum is here for you as a place to entertain your family and friends, discover something new, and provide respite from the busyness of your life. The museum has been here for you offering amazing encounters with art, free of an admission charge, since 1959. We need your help to continue the tradition. Please consider making a gift today. Your donation will support educational programming and museum renovations to preserve this amazing place. Back to Top

Another way to donate
Museum collections have grown by significant gifts. Historically, such generosity established most of the great museum collections we experience today. Bergstrom-Mahler Museum began with such gifts and continues to rely heavily on donors to build the collections. The collections become a public resources of beauty and information, as well as inspiration for those new to collecting glass.
We look for exemplary objects, objects that offer a representative example of something not already in the collection, as well as updated work by current artists in glass sculpture and paperweight forms. Our collections have served as resources for many other private collections and after fifty years, the museum continues as a learning resource for the general population, as well as the collecting community.
Please contact Jan Smith, Executive Director, at 920.751.4658 x301, to learn more about contributing glass related to one of our four areas of collecting. Monetary contributions for the acquisition fund are always welcomed. As a 501(c)(3), the museum welcomes bequests. Back to Top
